Information we collect about you

Even if you do not submit personal information through the Website, we gather navigational information about where visitors go on the Website and information about the technical efficiencies of our Website and services (such as time to connect to the Website or time to download pages). This information allows us to see which areas of our Website are most visited and helps us better understand the user experience. This data helps us improve the quality of the Website by recognizing and delivering more of the features, areas, and services our visitors prefer.

Cookies, analytics, and other services

The Website uses cookies and similar technologies. A cookie is a small file stored on your device that lets a website recognize your browser on a return visit. We use cookies for two purposes: to keep the Website working correctly (for example, to distinguish a real form submission from an automated one), and to measure how the Website is used so we can improve it.

Google Analytics. This Website uses Google Analytics, a service provided by Google. Google Analytics uses cookies and device identifiers to collect information about how visitors use the Website — pages viewed, forms submitted, referring pages, and exit pages — and reports it to us in aggregate. Google also uses this data as described in its own policies. You may want to review the Google privacy and terms page on Advertising and the details on how Google uses data when you use our partners' sites or apps to determine what options you may have to control the collection and usage of your information. You can also install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or block cookies in your browser settings — the Website will still work.

We do not run Google Ads, remarketing, or any other advertising or audience-targeting tags on this Website.

We collect this information to perform any contract you may have with us and in service of our legitimate business interests.

We do not purchase, rent, or obtain personal information about you from third-party data brokers, marketing lists, or consumer data resellers, and we do not obtain credit information or consumer reports about you.

How We Share Personal Information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

We do share personal information with service providers that help us run the Website — but only so they can perform that work for us, and only the information needed to do it:

  • Google provides the analytics described above.
  • Mailgun delivers contact form submissions to our inbox.
  • Our web host stores the Website, its logs, and our records.

We require these providers to protect your information and not to use it for their own purposes. We may also share personal information as required by law, or as disclosed elsewhere in this Privacy Policy.

Location of Personal Information

We must, of course, store and process your data somewhere. We store or process your data only in the United States.

How We Secure Information

We believe in providing a safe and secure experience for all of our online visitors. To that end, we have implemented security measures to protect the information collected from you. We maintain reasonable physical and electronic safeguards designed to limit unauthorized access to your personally identifiable information and to protect you against the criminal misuse of that information. Contact form submissions are transmitted over an encrypted connection, and the records the Website keeps are stored in a non-public folder that the web server refuses to serve to visitors.

While we use these security measures to protect your information, please remember that no data transmitted over the Internet or stored and used for business purposes can ever be completely secure. No security measures are perfect or impenetrable. We cannot guarantee:

  • that your information will only be viewed by approved people
  • that information you share will remain private
  • that information you share will not become publicly available

You can reduce the chances of these things happening by using a strong password, by not re-using passwords, and by protecting your devices against viruses and other malware.

Business Transactions

If we sell our assets or merge with another company, or if our company goes out of business, user information used by the business will be one of our assets that might be transferred to our successor. You consent to that successor's use of your information, subject to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

Access and Choice

You have choices about the information we collect.

If you do not want to agree to the ways we've said that we might use your personal information, your first and best step is to not submit any of that personal information to us.

We do not send newsletters, promotions, or other marketing email, so there is no mailing list to unsubscribe from. If you have been in touch with us about a project, or have asked us to keep you posted, and you would like us to stop contacting you and delete the information you provided, simply reply to that email or contact us using one of the methods below, and we will do so.

Please use this page to communicate your request, email us at [email protected], or send your information and request to:

Children's Personal Information

This Website is not intended to be used by children under the age of 13. Children under the age of 13 may not use or submit any information to the Website, and their guardians should not permit them to do so. The Company does not seek to or intentionally collect any personal information from children under 13. If such a child or their guardian alerts us, we will take reasonable steps to delete any such information as quickly as is practical.

US State Privacy Rights

Some US states have passed consumer privacy laws that give residents rights over their personal information — such as the right to know what a business has collected, to get a copy of it, to correct it, to delete it, and to opt out of its sale or use for targeted advertising. The ones most commonly cited are Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Iowa, and Virginia.

Every one of those laws has a minimum size threshold: they apply to businesses that, in a year, process the personal data of at least 100,000 residents of the state, or at least 25,000 residents while earning significant revenue from selling personal data. We are a small studio and we do not come close to those thresholds, so those laws do not currently apply to us. The same is true of the California Consumer Privacy Act.

We are telling you this rather than copying those states' rulebooks into this policy, because copying them would commit us to appeal processes, response deadlines, and handling standards that a business of our size is not required to meet — and a promise we didn't need to make is still a promise.

What we will do regardless: if you want to know what personal information we hold about you, want a copy of it, want it corrected, or want it deleted, contact us using any of the methods below. We do not sell personal information, and we do not process it for targeted advertising, in any state.

Please make your request using one of these methods:
