PENTON: The John Penton Story is an American story about family, competition, ingenuity and business that will tug at hearts of everyone who sees it. What began with a farm and then a humble motorcycle shop in Ohio, turned into international off-road racing career leading John Penton to the need for a smaller racing machine which he was soon selling in the US. The innovative dirt bike made by KTM in Austria was simply called a Penton.
Through tragedies and triumphs, John and his family of motorcycle racers and innovators took on the world in off-road motorcycle racing. They made the bikes and riders into champions, creating entire new companies and industries along the way.
This film features the largest cast of motorcycle legends ever assembled with over 100 interviews. Plus, historically accurate re-creations are all blended with archival photos and film footage to match the wonderful voice-over of a Penton rider in his younger days…Grammy Winner, Lyle Lovett.
